See & Do
Providing endless opportunities to get out on the water, improve skills, meet new people and of course, enjoy spectacular views from the club house, Safety Bay Yacht Club is a must-try this summer! There’s something for everyone with membership benefits including access to club house facilities, discounted event entry prices, access to club dinghies, Friday evening social events, school holiday activities and skipper’s ticket, and marine radio courses through ‘Go Sailing’.
There’s no denying the lead up to Christmas can be a little hectic, between last minute shopping, wrapping, grocery shopping and not to mention all the social events, it feels like there’s little time for anything else!
Taking one day out for yourself during the craze is perfectly ok. Here’s how Kim spent the day relaxing in Rockingham before the festivities and you can too!
It’s no secret that Rockingham is really cool place with many stunning beaches, parks and walks scattered around, but there are also some other incredible walking trails around town too – perfect for rediscovering natural beauty as well as restoring the soul and igniting the explorer within us all.
Spinal Life Australia delivered a report called “Accessible Rockingham”, involving staff and volunteers with disabilities visiting 20 points of interest in order to highlight their accessible features and identify changes that could improve the accessibility of the region. The aim was also to educate tourism operators and small businesses on steps they can take to make these changes happen.
We all know our little coastal town has a lot to offer but this experience was mind blowing and made every sense within me come alive. If you’ve ever watched Aladdin and wondered what it would be like to fly on a magic carpet, well I reckon I’ve discovered the next best thing, except, instead of a sitting on a carpet you step into a pair of boots. This fantastical thing I’m talking about is called flyboarding with Jetpack Perth!
