Is there public transport to the Penguin Island ferry?
Yes! Catch the Mandurah line to Rockingham train station, then board the 551 Transperth bus which will take you to Mersey Point.

All parking within the City of Rockingham is free, but time limits do apply in specific areas. Get the full details on parking here.
Can I walk to Penguin Island?
We do not recommend walking or wading across the sandbar to Penguin Island. Strong rips and currents can occur, and the water depth and conditions change rapidly. The best way to get to Penguin Island is to board the ferry across, which departs hourly from 9am to 3pm. You may purchase ferry tickets here.
Do you have any cycle paths?
We sure do! Rockingham has wonderful shared cycling paths. You can find them here.
Can I drive to Garden Island?
Unfortunately, there is no public access to Garden Island unless you have a private vessel.
