Stockland Baldivis is located in one of the strongest growth corridors in Western Australia. The centre sits within the Settlers Hills residential community, opposite the Affinity Retirement Village, as part of a Stockland masterplanned community. The centre includes a full-line ALDI, Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, four mini-majors, more than 90 specialty stores and a main street restaurant precinct. There is ~eight hectares of land adjacent for future development.

The Mary Davies Library and Community Centre is a contemporary, cutting-edge library service and multi-purpose community centre.

Warnbro station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, 47.6 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Warnbro.

Rockingham station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, 43.2 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Cooloongup.

Wellard Station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, 37.3 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Wellard.

The first large rock to the south of Penguin Island is called First Rock. For a full appreciation of its beauty, this site is best explored by SCUBA. If you follow the ledge you may discover wobbegongs tucked tightly under ledges and if you have a keen eye you may spot an octopus hiding in the weeds and crevices.

This is a good, fascinating site suitable for both beginners and experienced snorkellers. Take the path to the left of the Penguin Island Discovery Centre and walk along the beach to the southernmost point you can reach. Here you will have to wade across the shallow reef around the base of the rock and caves. The entry point is 2-3 metres of water.

The sisters are a series of limestone reefs at the southern end of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. They are easy to find as they are marked by a group of rocks protruding above the surface. This site offers scuba divers and snorkellers the opportunity to experience an area rich in marine life.

Formerly known as the Parmelia, it was built as a bucket dredge during the 1930s. Renamed D9 when sold to the Dredging Industries of Australia, she was converted to a suction dredge for the excavation of the channels of Kwinana. Sunk in 1962 for unknown reasons and was then moved to the middle of the Cockburn Sound where she is now located.

The Churchill Park Wreck Trail is one of the safest and most popular shore dives in WA. The site has ample parking, a grassed area to kit up, toilets and barbeques, and a range of cafes happy to cater to wetsuit-clad divers.

With a northerly aspect, the site offers good protection from the sea breezes during summer. The dive is easy to follow and also provides a good opportunity for certified specialty divers, such as night divers and photographers.

Point Peron is one of the best shore dive or snorkeling sites in the Perth metropolitan area. You can reach the site from the beach at Long Reach.

Sea urchins and sea anemones shelter in the seagrass near shore. Other inhabitants of the shallow sandy areas include turban shells, plump sea stars, and spider crabs. As you swim out of the fringing reef you will discover schools of fish such as whiting and baitfish.

A memorable dive experience is on the wreck of the RMS Orizaba. The vessel was due to arrive in Fremantle from England in February 1905. Heavy haze caused disorientation and the vessel grounded on Five Fathom Bank.

Apart from being the final resting place of the RMS Orizaba (a great diving experience in its own right), the Five Fathom Bank is renowned for its abundant and diverse fish life consequently making it extremely popular for keen fishermen and divers alike.

A 400-tonne former fishing vessel, known as the Saxon Ranger is the first purpose sunk dive wreck in the Perth Metropolitan area. It lies in approximately 22 metres of water amongst other sunken wrecks on the seafloor in Warnbro Sound.

Recreational dive permits must be purchased to dive the Saxon Ranger. The cost of the permit is based on a vessel carrying up to four divers at a time with a two hour time allocation on the moorings. Permits are available from the Rockingham Visitor Centre.

In 2008, the Council adopted a plan for the Rockingham Strategic Regional (or Primary) Centre which incorporated both the traditional centre at Rockingham Beach and the “City Centre” of the 1970s into a larger, encompassing centre.

The district is well served by shops, pubs and restaurants and is close to numerous technical product and service outlets in the comprehensive light-industrial estates on and around Rockingham’s Dixon Road.

Rockingham Centre is a regional shopping centre located 47 kilometres (29 mi) south-southwest of Perth, Western Australia, in the suburb of Rockingham.

A great foreshore and beach, perfect for family outings with lots of places to sit on the grass or on the beach. There are also lots of nearby cafes and restaurants, including a few ice cream parlors, fish and chips shops, and bakeries. A really well-kept area!

The Golden Bay Foreshore is the perfect location to enjoy a swim at the beach, BBQ and play at the playground with not one, but two playgrounds, one of which is fully fenced.

The Harbour Playground is a fully fenced, inclusive play space located on the Secret Harbour foreshore designed for all ages, all abilities and all levels of adventure.

Baldivis Reserve (also known as Baldivis Oval) is a widely used sporting reserve in Baldivis.

Anniversary Park is a widely used sporting reserve in Rockingham.

This reserve is frequently used for wedding ceremonies and has two large gazebos.

With many play areas, barbecues covered seating, and a public toilet, City Park is one of Rockingham’s beautiful parks.

Steel Tree Park is a family-friendly reserve located in Settlers Hills.

Naval Memorial Park is a coastal park with large open space and facilities perfect for a family picnic.

Arguably one of the best Beaches in the Perth metro area and it just happens to be nudist as well.

The beach faces south with usually calm conditions, except during summer sea breezes conditions when low wind chop reaches the beach and seagrass debris is commonly washed up onto the shore.

Shoalwater beach (WA 798) is a curving, west-facing, 1.5 km long low energy beach located between Mersey Point and a central sandy foreland. A shallow sands spit extends 1 km west from the tip of the foreland to Shag Rock and Seal Island.

Rockingham Beach (WA 809, also called Palm Beach) commences at the boat ramps and curves to the east, then northeast for 4.8 km (Fig. 4.176), terminating against the Kwinana jetty breakwater. The beach is backed by the continuous Rockingham Foreshore Reserve, which in the southern central Rockingham area has three jetties and the Cruising Yacht Club of Western Australia.

The space incorporates half-court basketball and half court soccer, as well as a shaded seating area.

Named after a young local leader who rallied the community to develop a skate park but who sadly passed away from sudden illness in 2002, the Daniel Kelly Skate Park was created to continue his legacy. Located adjacent to Rhonda Scarrott Reserve, this is the place to be for those on skateboards, BMX bikes or scooters with a variety of ramps to suit all abilities.

Sweet plaza style park with all the standards well constructed as we as a cool barrier and curved curb section that looks loads of fun.

The skate park complements the existing reserve uses, and is able to host skate and scooter clinics and competitions.

Baldivis skatepark is a small concrete skatepark located at the Baldivis Youth Space.

A Rage Cage is a reduced size, multi-use, permanent, outdoor sport and recreational complex that is used for over 10 sports and activities, limited only to the imagination of its users.

All wine at Peel Estate is made on site in the original architect designed colonial style brick and timber winery, set in a magnificent environment dominated by Tuart trees.

Peel Ridge are producers of quality wines made from grapes grown in their own green managed vineyard. They are situated close to the towns of Rockingham, Mandurah and Baldivis making an ideal spot for an afternoon excursion.

Stakehill Estate is a family-run vineyard and winery established in 1998 by the current owners.

This facility has six ramps and three holding jetties available for use. There is a large amount of boat trailer parking at this facility.

Used to be a secret spot south of Perth, now it’s a really popular beach break that always seems to be packed.

Donald Drive Boat Ramp is located on Safety Bay Road opposite Donald Drive in Safety Bay. This is a sand launching facility and has approximately 15 boat trailer parking bays available.

Carlisle Street Boat Ramp is located on Arcadia Drive opposite Carlisle Street in Safety Bay. This is a sand launching facility and has approximately 12 boat trailer parking bays available.

Port Kennedy Boat Launching Facility is located on Port Kennedy Drive. This facility has two ramps and one holding jetty.

Bent Street boat ramp is located in Safety Bay and allows boat users to launch their vessels into Warnbro Sound. There are two ramps and one holding jetty available for use.

Palm Beach Boat Ramp West is located in Rockingham and allows boat users to launch their vessels into Cockburn Sound. There is one ramp and one holding jetty available for use.

Palm Beach Jetty is located on the Esplanade opposite Fisher Street in Rockingham. There are on-street car parking facilities available along the Esplanade. Fishing is permitted on this jetty.

This jetty is located in the heart of Rockingham Foreshore opposite The Cruising Yacht Club on Val Street. This is a recreationally used jetty with short term berthing available to boat users.

Mersey Point Jetty is located on Arcadia Drive in Shoalwater. The jetty is used both recreationally and commercially. Mersey Point Jetty has car parking facilities available, including larger spaces for buses.

The Rockingham Museum is a community museum which is managed by the Rockingham District Historical Society Inc and is committed to the collection, preservation, documentation, and interpretation of the heritage of Western Australia in General with an emphasis on the history of Rockingham District, for future education and enjoyment of the wider community.

The Mary Davies Library and Community Centre is a contemporary, cutting-edge library service and multi-purpose community center.

The Rockingham Arts Centre consists of an exhibition space, multi-purpose room and studio space. It is also home to a ceramics studio and writers centre – both are currently leased.

The Don Shepherd Nature Reserve Trail is situated on the old Karnup townsite. Access is via Baldivis Road turning into Karnup Road.

You won’t miss the big timber sign at the entrance of the walk trail. A very colourful information panel provides an interesting read on the vegetation, bird life and wildflowers that you are likely to see depending on the season.

The walk features several cultural heritage icons that though public art, interprets the community’s connections to the past and reflects the community’s relationship to the waterfront and its multicultural identity.

The Tramway Reserve Trail is important environmentally, recreationally and culturally, as a linear reserve it is closely aligned to Baldivis Road.

From the City’s Southern border in Singleton, follow the footpath north along Foreshore Drive. When you reach the roundabout at Singleton Beach Road, carefully cross Foreshore Drive and follow the concrete footpath north approximately 40m until the footpath deviates to the left through the coastal dunes.

These beautiful grounds are a great place to finish the walk.

The Dixon Road Trail can be accessed from either just off Dixon Road or from Darile Street. Driving south along Darile Street, you will notice the State Heritage Site which is an old abattoir building constructed in the 1940’s by local butchers Oliver Wilson and Sydney Dixon.

Access to City Park is via Read St or Chalgrove Avenue, then into Success Drive, right into Westralia Gardens where you’ll find parking. Join the red concrete footpath, near the swings and mosaic mound.

Parking at Coles end of the Rockingham Shopping Centre, this trail is accessible via the underpass, (allowing you to cross Read Street safely), keep following the shared path west (straight).

Naragebup also known as the Rockingham Environmental Centre are a non-profit community organisation run by volunteers. Naragebup was built by the community for the community.

The Baldivis Children’s Forest is a 20-hectare conservation reserve home to the Baldivis Children’s Forest Friends. The forest has a variety of walk trails for you to explore. Follow the signs or just meander the trails.

The Pond is location renown internationally for its mirror-like flatwater conditions. Sea breeze winds are only slightly disturbed due to low sand dunes. International sponsored riders can be seen all through summer.
