International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day that aims to increase public awareness, understanding, and acceptance of people with disability. It is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions and achievements of people with disability and to promote inclusive communities.
With this in mind, we invite everyone to celebrate the achievements and contributions of local community members with disability by attending our free IDPwD event with the theme ‘Together We Thrive’.
There will be:
- interactive activities
- silent disco
- chill out zone (sensory friendly space)
- performances
- workshops
- food and drink
- community information.
