City Park has many facilities including a public toilet, picnic areas, barbecues and children’s playgrounds.
A Liberty Swing is available for use by children and adults with wheelchairs. To use the Liberty Swing you will require an MLAK key, which many individuals and service providers will already have. Anyone who does not already have an MLAK key can collect one from the customer service counter at our Administration Centre on Civic Boulevard, Rockingham. A bond of $50 is required for the key, and is fully refundable once the key is returned. For more information contact us on 9528 0333.
With attractive landscaping, water features and fountains, City Park has an abundance of ducks and other birdlife to observe while making your way around the 1km path. An occasional black swan or two will make their way to City Park. The sealed footpath meanders around the picturesque lake, taking you past the Autumn Centre, around the circle of tree-lined park area. There are three fitness stations along the route. Park benches are located at various spots around the lake.
The park is often used for children’s birthday parties and various community events.
Access to City Park is via Chalgrove Avenue or Success Drive, where you will find the public parking.
