It was extended in 1988 to join the library building which became part of the museum building in 1999. There are numerous displays throughout the museum depicting a variety of aspects of Rockingham’s history. They are designed to educate and inform local residents, visitors and children of the history of Rockingham and surrounding areas. There is a local history library on site that not only covers Rockingham but also our state’s history. This can be accessed by members of the public for research purposes.
