Developing the Community through Sailing, Windsurfing and Kitesurfing
Founded in 1947 on the shores of the picturesque Safety Bay, the Safety Bay Yacht Club is the oldest Yacht Club in the Rockingham Area. Located less than three kilometres from Penguin Island the waters for this off the beach wind sports club, provide ample opportunity for both kiters, windsurfers and sailors alike.
Our members are currently sailing Kiteboards, Slalom and Freeride Windsurfing, Windrush 14 Catamarans, Lasers, OK’s and Optimists.
Throughout the summer season Safety Bay Yacht Club provides regular slalom racing for both windsurfers and kiters. We host racing events for dinghy fleets and hold specialist downwind racing events.
This year we are offering introductory courses to sailing for kids aged 7 and over, as well as introductory sailing courses for teens and adults.
